“God made me fast. And when I run, I feel His pleasure.” - Eric Liddell
It’s one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite movies. Eric Liddell is known to most of us for his unwavering Christian convictions during the Olympic games as portrayed in the Oscar-winning movie Chariots of Fire. He was a truly gifted individual who sacrificed his life to bring Christ to China in the years leading up to World War II.
Few of us are called as a martyr for the Kingdom, but God has given each of us unique gifts. There are blanks in my own life I need to complete.
God made me _________. And when I __________, I feel His pleasure.
I’ve been working and praying about this for over a year and I don’t have an answer yet. God has given me much and there are lots of things that give me pleasure, but what singular talent do I have that makes God smile so brightly I can feel his delight?
I’ll keep working on it.
Can you fill in the blanks?
Come run with me!
